In order to bring comprehensive information and diverse content, this phase will ensure that all DOSs will have their own functioning website. All DOS websites must have a common “look and feel” feature, including choice of colors, emblem, type of bars, and choice of fonts, among others. Part of the responsibility of the contractor is to develop a template for all DOSs’ website. Then the contractor will conduct a comprehensive hands-on training for DOSs designated web administrator and alternate. They will be trained on how to update and maintain their website using web design software such as Macromedia Dreamweaver & Flash, and Adobe Photoshop. The main output of the training will be an initial version of DOS functional website which will be published and accessible in the internet. The websites will be uploaded in the .gov.gm domain which is currently co-hosted at GAMTEL’s server. All DOSs website will be linked to the government web portal.
The design and development of web portal will adapt the technology on web content management system (CMS). This will be designed to simplify the publication of web contents in the government web portal, in particular allowing content creators to submit content without requiring technical knowledge of HTML or the uploading of files.
